Of course, I’m wondering how they’re going to deal with our potholes, infamous for being large enough to eat an entire AW11 for breakfast. Does this mean they’re going to pave the streets properly? Of course not - this is Massachusetts, where everything gets done poorly, past deadline, and way over budget. Maybe Indy Car will have to specify a Stadium Super Truck suspension. That would be, as we say, “wicked pissah.”

The thing you have to understand about Bostonians, of course, is their attitude. This map may help.

I live along the western frontier, known to the rest of the world as Interstate 495. For the sake of the locals in Southie, everyone visiting for the race should just say they’re from New Hampshah, where they have !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , or maybe from Worcester. Just be sure you prounounce it “WIS-tah,” not “WOR-ster,” or especially not “WOR-ces-ter,” or they’ll know you’re not a townie in an instant.

They’ve been picking away at the streets in Boston over the last few years. I bet they’ll have the Seaport area decent enough to be race worthy by Labor Day ‘16.
