Of course, I’m wondering how they’re going to deal with our potholes, infamous for being large enough to eat an entire AW11 for breakfast. Does this mean they’re going to pave the streets properly? Of course not - this is Massachusetts, where everything gets done poorly, past deadline, and way over budget. Maybe Indy Car will have to specify a Stadium Super Truck suspension. That would be, as we say, “wicked pissah.”
The thing you have to understand about Bostonians, of course, is their attitude. This map may help.
I live along the western frontier, known to the rest of the world as Interstate 495. For the sake of the locals in Southie, everyone visiting for the race should just say they’re from New Hampshah, where they have

, or maybe from Worcester. Just be sure you prounounce it “WIS-tah,” not “WOR-ster,” or especially not “WOR-ces-ter,” or they’ll know you’re not a townie in an instant.
Is there anything else you want to know about the new home of an Indy Car race?

As a LARP plot writer who has spent a lot of time in Boston, I can confirm that this is truth!

They’ve been picking away at the streets in Boston over the last few years. I bet they’ll have the Seaport area decent enough to be race worthy by Labor Day ‘16.

Today, 495 is pretty much like 128 was 20 years ago.

I hope we see a nice support race like, Stadium Super Trucks or GRC or Formula Drift.

It’ll be fun to watch them get lost.

I’d love to see any or all of these! Though I admit Stadium Super Trucks is my current favorite form of racing to watch.

It’s like watching full size R/C trucks driven by my 12 year old self.

Cool. Indy Cars vs. the Green Line. Those new front wings don’t stand a chance.

It's the Cowpath Theory of track design!

I thought the dragon line was west of Worcester. I’m curios what the support races might be.
